Understood it to some degree when I watched it the first time. Felt it in my bones.
Understood it more the second time, crying with my best friend as the credits rolled, both of us knowing exactly why.
Understand it the most, years later, in the wake of that same best friends suicide. What a devastating reality it is to search so hard for an answer that only leaves you with more questions. Charlotte Wells did something in the empty spaces of this film, you’ll miss them if you’re focused on finding them.
