This is simultaneously one of the most optimistic and deeply tragic films I've ever seen. It's a film about how adults react in the prescence of a potential (imperfect) miracle, and how they can sometimes unintentionally destroy that miracle. It's both a hard drama and a metaphysical mystery film.
