  I had high expectations for this follow up to Fury Road however it felt way too long. You could have cut at least half an hour to make it flow better and certainly lose some of the first act. I imagine it may have been more impressive on IMAX as when the action did get going, it was good but it definitely lacked the steam of the previous movie.

  This iteration of Tom and Jerry again proves that duo are at their best in short cartoons and not in feature length pictures. This film also makes the same mistake that Looney Tunes: Back in Action made by focusing on the human characters who we have no investment in rather than the title characters the film should have been about

  The Evil Dead 1981

  I was certain I had seen this film before but it seems I was actually remembering Evil Dead 2. This in contrast is an even lower budget take on the cabin in the woods trope (was this the first to start that trope?). It's quite impressive for getting what they did from the budget. The plot is bare bones but it makes up for that with style. It's not anywhere near as comedic as the sequel/remake but it was entertaining. I'd rather watch the sequel however!
