  Going into this one I was really, really excited.

  First of all, I definitely have to highlight the amazing marketing campaign made for the movie. It really goes to show how creativity and thinking outside of the box can really heighten a movie's popularity and I fully bought into the hype.

  Super fun and smooth watch. Really enjoyed the whole idea of making this murder mystery possible through ellie's very subtle "psychic abilities", if you could call them that. Also Edgar Wright delievered another beautifully shot movie with great performances by the main actors, a gorgeous color palette and a really fun use of music ala Babydriver. But I would like to note that at times the plot feels a bit thematticaly conflicted.

  Sadly have to report that this movie was pretty dissapointing. A really cool concept and idea that visually is executed really nicely with the whole wendigo concept and gore is hindered by a badly paced plot and cast of pretty one dimensional characters, even with the abuse subplot that didnt really lead anywhere. But one positive thing I would like to highlight is the performance of Jeremy Thomas as Lucas, really good creepy kid performance imo.
