It’s hard to rate a zombie movie from 2002 after seeing The Last of Us. I can tell that this one was very important in its time. Something special about them clearing out London for filming, I feel like it’s just for me. The soundtrack is very English, sounds like the backing track to Dido’s White Flag. With themes of anarchy and rape in a post-apocalypse, it must have paved the way for Blindness (2008). I feel like it’s part of my film education and I feel guilty for not seeing it earlier.
