i was middling with this at first, but after a second and a third viewing, while i still don't think it's as brilliant as 'Shaun of the Dead' or 'Hot Fuzz', i find it to be a witty, funny, relatable, semi-mature look at growing up. being at those awkward ages, in-between wanting to relive your glory days and wanting to be a real adult. it's the most mature of Wright/Pegg/Frost's Corbett's trilogy, and it's also the least outright entertaining; but the fact that it is very entertaining all while being grown up is a testament to its balance of tone, genre, and level of humour.
