    One of the most nihilistic things I’ve sat down to consume.

    Should’ve assumed it from the title, but picked up on lots of religious symbology, and maybe the whole thing is an extended metaphor for the story of Christ? Or maybe it’s a pagan interpretation? A director retorting to the principles of Christianity in modern day? Maybe none of those things at all.

    “So far, so good”

    Saw this exactly when I needed it. Something about the raw portrayal of wasting your time on bad endeavours was a wake up call.

    I know the message is outwardly meant to be a critique on violence, poverty, and activism against authority, but there’s a lot of that story that works as a metaphor for zooming out, assessing what path you’re on, and where you’ll end up if you continue.
