  Good cinematography and acting. The film does not try to solve problems; it shows problems. All characters were problematic. 
  The film shows the complexities of a conflict through Shoshana’s eyes (a socialist Zionist Jewish woman in 1930s British Palestine). 
  Many rightfully criticised the total absence of the Arabs’ perspective in the film (especially given current affairs). But perhaps we don’t see that perspective because it’s a film about Shoshana’s experience and we can disagree with her. .
