it’s an old story with a lot of refreshing, unique things. the visual style is unlike anything else and the music is great. i think it would be really funny for disney to portray a mythically accurate story. sidebar: hera gets a lot of hate in greek mythology, and that’s totally deserved, but she IS the goddess of marriage who has the Worst Marriage

The Thing 1982
i LOVE the amount of fucked up this movie is. stellar cinematography, sound design, and special effects to boot. seriously, what a perfect example of the beauty of practical effects, i can’t even imagine how they thought of the shit that made up The Thing. the unnerving mood is set early on, even before there is anything TO be afraid of. the paranoia in this film takes ahold of its audience swiftly with the only certainty is that you yourself are not The Thing.
