I usually love stories centred around female friend groups but this doesn’t really land that well in that area in my opinion - I don’t feel an attachment to any of the characters or get a sense of their friendship except for maybe a couple of genuine moments throughout. And yeah the over sexualisation of teenage girls (without ever showing how it could affect them badly) is boring and unrealistic.
I also found the ending weird, like it was an awkward attempt at being emotional to make us feel like the film meant something? I really didn’t take anything from this.
