I watched this while visiting family for Christmas and the second their LG TV automatically switched to “filmmaker mode” when this movie started, my grandma got mad and immediately switched the TV back to the mode with motion smoothing. The Rock really was right about the naughty list.

The heist scene is pretty fun, but ended up throwing out all the planning and lead-up to it just so they could team up with the rock. The entire rest of the movie leading up to the heist: wack.
(Google’s cast section credited Devon Aoki for playing Suki in this movie. I kept waiting for her cameo. Apparently that was a lie and she never comes back ☹️)
So THIS is where the series absolutely loses the sauce.
I was wondering when it would happen, especially since I really liked Tokyo Drift. The first three were disconnected stories with a couple recurring characters, and this tries to tie them all together and “move the story forward”. Brother there is no story, this movie lacks any cohesive direction until the incredibly predictable last 30 minutes.
Story isn’t even what I come into fast and furious for. These were fun movies…
