  People think this is a great movie?? There were a couple decent segments and bits and pieces that were visually well done but overall it really was not for me. It was so fucking idiosyncratic in a way that wasn’t interesting or funny and at times far too heavy handed. I found so many of the stylistic choices to be annoying and the way the story flowed was as equally bizarre as the style. This is the first Criterion movie I found that I genuinely disliked.
