  the cinematography of this is wonderful. that, however, cannot be said for the actual storytelling and accuracy of the depictions of tragedy shown throughout this film. to sympathize with the nazi ideology and to practically make a plot line out of a singular german boy’s death, rather than the true, factual nature of the holocaust is not only distasteful, but simply a disgrace to the survivors still alive today, and the entire jewish population. there is room for sympathy in…
