  This is what I love about going to the movies.

  I don't know that I would call any of Soderbergh's movies my favorite, but I always know if I see one, it's going to be beautiful and interesting and I'm going to enjoy myself the whole time.

  Walked into this movie knowing nothing about it. Walked out pleased. I'll take that.

  First time seeing Point Break, and... this is a bad movie?

  I'd always heard people talk about Point Break like it's one of the classic 90s action movies, but it's just kinda dumb.

  Now I wasn't expecting some art house masterpiece. But comparing it to similar 90s action movies, it doesn't even come close. It's nowhere near as fun as John Woo movies or the Bad Boys movies. Gone in 60 Seconds has much more likeable characters. Even the homoeroticism…

  The story itself is a little didactic, but Edmund Gwenn is so charming as Kris Kingle this movie has me convinced he actually is Santa Claus!
