This movie shook me to my core. You have to be able to fully immerse yourself to receive the full experience. Lights off, alone and at nighttime. Left the theatre feeling uneasy, unreal and very afraid. Skinamarink is a nightmarish film that immerses the viewer in childhood fears and isolation. The Neon Demon 2016
I've tried this movie twice, and the second watch was even worse than the first. As visually stunning as it can be, the soundtrack and useless cutscenes ruin any possible horror elements that were aimed for. All of the characters in this movie are so unlikeable, and the story itself is just such a mess. The concept has so much potential, and the beginning was decent, but the execution was slow and disappointing. The movie went downhill after the first act.
