FLORENCE PUGH TURNS IT OUT EVERY FUCKING TIME IN THESE HORROR THRILLERS. Florence, I love you. Your skillset is unmatched and it is nothing short of a pleasure to see you on the big screen.
Storytelling was magnificently done through editing, acting, effects, soundtracks and directing, set design, costuming AND . MAKEUP SFX. TICK, TICK TICK. i love it when all the components of film work together cohesively to tell a story !!! I am nit-picky and in some sequences…

I have not seen many slashers in my lifetime. THIS WAS SO GOOD. scary. gory. PLOT TWIST AT THE END AUGHHH rest in piss melody..

I had a sneaking suspicion this film would feature/be about wendigos! I am familiar with some lore and physical descriptions of the creatures. And Bingo! I was correct.
Was a huge fan of some of the establishing shots within the first few minutes of the film, (NERD ALERT) it set up the atmosphere and mood perfectly. dimly lit, muted colours as well as deteriorating industrial structures? mmmmm so delicious.
Unfortunately for me, there were not many moments in this film…
