Monkey Man 2024
If this is what Dev Patel's vision for film is then sign me up for more of it. A film clearly indebted to its influences (John Wick, the works of Tony Jaa) that is still uniquely Indian in nature. You start the film with so many random elements that don't seem necessary yet everything matters in the end. A film of hope and bravery, while also having numerous scenes that will make you shout "OH MY GOD WHAT?!". Utterly fantastic
