hhh ok, idk how to rate this. bjork is so so phenomenal in it but everything else kind of sucks. the camera work is ugly imo and obviously von trier being uhm how he is makes the plot feel fetishistic. i like a bleak movie and i even like pain/shock/trauma for the sake of it but? idk …maybe the only von trier film i didn’t immediately hate, kind of liked it but i can’t tell if that’s just bc of bjork or not so

saw this at 1pm on a tuesday so all the retirees in the theater were loling and gasping at every moment, think it rlly heightened the experience otherwise i probably would’ve thought this is way too stupid
