Toy Story 1995
zero notes. perfect movie. this joint is 1hr and 20mins. tight script, gets to the point and moves on. Mr Potato Head is so much funnier than I remember. they really nailed it with the voice casting. Woody screaming “YOU ARE A TOY” will always make me laugh. the scene where Woody is the one to say “To infinity and beyond” while him and Buzz are soaring through the air is genuinely beautiful my heart kinda skipped a beat. that’s cinema right there man.

This movie is so much fun. Love how there’s always humor in Bong Joon-ho’s films. There’s always this dark comedic quality, even in Parasite and Memories of Murder, but I liked how this one really leans into that while still having something to say (though not as strong as his previous work).
I couldn’t stop laughing at Mark Ruffalo’s character because he’s clearly making fun (or doing an impression) of a certain doofus running our country. I was a lil grossed…

The Monkey 2025
enjoyed the first half a lot with the kids but i think it falls apart towards the end much like Longlegs. Perkins meshes the horror/gore aspect with the comedic parts pretty well, i’ll give him that. i didn’t like how the third act goes off the rails where it’s not grounded in reality anymore and it just becomes absurddd.
