Poor Things 2023
I could make jokes about this movie but the more I thought about it after leaving the theatre the more connected i felt to it. Although odd , it tells the story of a woman’s liberation and emancipation from her own mind. Bella was trapped not only by the the walls that surrounded her but also by her lack of knowledge of the outside world. Her hunger for discovery and adventure, was at times strange, yes, but was also filled with a certain childlike wonder that we often fail to see.
