I actually think there is something in this that is actually a good movie but it either can’t get out of its way or can’t justify its own existence. The movie tries way too hard it gets to the point where the needle drops get cringey and over the top. Stone gives it her all but jeez this movie thinks it’s so bad ass when it doesn’t earn shit.

The Bikeriders 2023
The accents in this are a subplot of their own between Jodie Comer, Michael Shannon, and Austin Butler. Tom Hardy goes HAM on the accent though. This was an enjoyable watch and made me more interested in the source material. Just a wild fun ride (pun intended) about dudes who use bikes instead of going to therapy. Comer and Hardy are my MVPs.

My expectations were low but this beautiful movie about a guy and his kidnapped pig goes through so many emotional beats and waves that it just isn’t a movie about a guy and his pig it’s deeper and more profound. Nic Cage is outstanding and he makes you feel every thought and feeling. Just beautiful.
