Sicario 2015
I feel like I'll need a rewatch to really appreciate this movie, I definitely got lost on the details more than a few times, but the performances were all really good, the cinematography was cool, and the overall premise of the CIA unjustly running military operations in foreign countries to exert control is well handled and unfortunately will always be relevant, at least in my lifetime. Benicio Del Toro gave an incredible performance, especially in that final sequence on the road and in the dinner scene.

Really cool looking film, probably would make a really great game, not so sure I love it as a movie though. The lack of dialogue shouldn't be mistaken for a lack of story, but what's here is pretty bare-bones. The cat is all alone, the cat gets chased by dogs, the cat and the dog get caught in a flood, the cat finds a capybara with a boat, the cat witnesses some bird on bird crime, and so on. Idk…

Kuroko's Basketball the Movie: Last Game 2017
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
In the recent weeks, I've watched through Kuroko's Basketball, including revisiting several episodes multiple times and reading through the manga. It is a fantastic shonen, with great animation, solid storytelling, good humor, and an understated sense of restraint in terms of how ridiculous these boys are allowed to ball. 10/10 show, would recommend to anyone.
That said, this movie is a disappointing follow-up. The villains are completely forgettable on a surface level and racist caricatures on top of that. It…
