A surprisingly progressive slice of B-movie making. Had a blast with it.

I was looking forward to watch this for the first time after all the hype. DNF lasted about 2/3 of the way through. This movie is a mish mash of loud unpleasant sound and bad performance lacking a story.

Not sure what everyone else was raving about.

After a strong opening and a potentially interesting premise (shades of Blair Witch Project) the movie devolves into a totally predictable horror by the numbers movie. You know the drill, demonic curses, flashlight that stop working at the worse time, animal jumpscares, leading to a downbeat ending that was heavily telegraphed.

Total pet peeve with this, why does the lead character repeatedly waits until the middle of the night to go investigate spooky abandoned locations?

An ok-ish debut that is competently made but does nothing to make me change my mind about the tradition of (most, there are exceptions) Youtuber movies not being great.

Seen at the Canadian premiere at Fantasia Festival 2023.

I usually love Joe Lynch's films and I am a big fan of Stuart Gordon. This should have been a smash hit. Instead it ends up feeling like a dull softcore erotic thriller that stretches out a thin premise to a non-ending. Shocking how a movie this horny can end up boring. Barbara Crampton was the highlight of this movie. Very disappointing.
