  I’ve seen this movie countless times, but every time I see it I’m reminded of the true simplicity of idyllic rural Japanese life, especially as a young child

  Truly a Miyazaki masterclass. And, it barely even has a plot.

  the movie itself is 3 stars but the score alone pushes it up to a 4. i watched this movie so many times as a child that i still think of the songs in my head almost daily.

  the movie is just a glorified ad for the toy, with G1 sprinkled in there (if you haven’t seen it then a lot of the events won’t make a lot of sense), but the score is what makes this movie amazing

  also, it was orson wells’s last performance before his death. do with that information what you will
