I couldn’t get through more than 30 minutes of this. I don’t understand why everyone loves it so much, it was shit.
It was a children’s movie so clearly written by adults who would confidently call themselves “hip”. The jokes were forced, the dialogue was terrible and the characters were insufferable. Who leaves a ten year old in charge of 4 other kids all day? Was the parentification and the normalisation of forced childhood maturity supposed to be cute? And…
