  Maybe 2.5 stars is harsh and maybe I’m missing something but I think for a film that swept at the Oscars and is titled after the leading female character, Anora would be a developed character…. But she’s not. I think this is a fine film but i was left feeling disappointed. Men shouldn’t write about women if they are just going to write a pretty face with a vague backstory.

  When sister Agnes said some “although we sisters are supposed to be invisible, God has nevertheless given us eyes and ears” I felt something. Don’t know what or why but yeah….

  Honestly…. I had a hard time watching this. It felt very formulaic and lacks personality. The story is centered around the love between Johnny and June yet June comes across as a woman who’s consistently being pressured into things and isn’t happy about it and Johnny just needs therapy real bad.
