Hooked the entire time, and the design was really impressive considering the time of release. That damn cat gave me so much anxiety and for what… anyway the ending was satisfying but I also don’t fully understand what the overarching message of the movie is. I’ll have to look into that, but overall great watch!

“Vaginoplasty” was a word sung repeatedly throughout a song. That about sums up the stupidity of this wannabe movie musical.
I wanted to like this movie so bad, but I was let down. I can’t think of a central theme, and my ears are still ringing from the TERRIBLE songs. There was a sliver of potential for a powerful message about improving the justice system in Mexico, but the opportunity was completely overlooked, and would’ve been so much more effective if the songs were replaced with productive dialogue.

Overall, cool movie to watch. I liked that it was divided into 3 parts and enjoyed the changes in screen size to illustrate flashbacks. However, some motifs didn’t make sense (red snakes for what?), there were plot holes (doll brain subplot??), and the ending was simply okay.
