A Real Pain 2024
this was a sweet movie. Jesse and Kieran are perfect together. What I liked most about this movie was the length. I felt like it was the perfect amount and just fit the storyline super well. Like it’s was a quick trip between cousins but it was also deeply emotional and you would occasionally get this window into the emotions of someone who is struggling with themselves and with loss. Overall great movie with a really good screenplay. I was really surprised to hear it was solely written by Jesse, it felt to organic between them I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also improvised.

The Substance 2024
This is probably one of the most insane movies I’ve ever seen. I think what I love most abt this movie is how it’s kind of a satire on how women in Hollywood are treated as they age and how they just become disposable. I remember seeing in an interview Demi saying that this a topic that has resonated with her for many years now and I feel like u really can see her pain when she stares at herself…

Angelina Jolie is amazing. Period. I really liked this movie. It’s heartbreaking but beautiful. I had heard about Maria Callas prior, but I didn’t know anything about her life up until I watched this movie so I can’t really compare Angelina to Maria. But Angelina’s depiction of a woman in pain mourning her past life is amazing. I loved the cinematography in this film. So amazing hope it wins the Oscar. Overall tragic and beautiful
