3:10 to Yuma 1957
The perfect western with the perfect score. One of the very few that manages to make me cry each time. Not in the least helped by the fantastic acting of both Glenn Ford and Van Heflin. The music ties the whole film together, but at the same time silence is used sparingly but masterfully to create true suspense. The story puts forward a reluctant but true American hero who manages to learn from and teach the outlaw about respect. And all that is supported by some great cinematography that ties it all together.
