There have been some great daring horror movies in 2024, but if you think this drama within the realms of the horror genre, then this may be the bleakest one I’ve seen this year.
With 2020’s “Sweat” and this film, Magnus von Horn is certainly one of the recent directors to watch.

Dark, suspenseful, funny and playfully absurd.
The trio of actors were impressive all around, with Hugh Grant at some of his effing best ever, just devouring up lines from the seemingly silly but surprisingly engrossing screenplay.
Elaborate designs and cinematography also elevate the creepy atmosphere and make these intimate settings larger than life.(Watched at an early work-in-progress cut screening)
