as i was watching this film, i felt a tension in my chest. knots were tying themselves, over and over, with each sweet moment between celine and jesse. by the end, i wanted to throw up all the knots but could not. i'm still thinking about it. this was chocolate with barbed wire filling. great film.

watching this movie is like hearing the foreboding buzz of mosquitoes in the candle orange of sunset but not seeing them yet. you're waiting for the bite, unsure if it's going to come (deep down, you know it's going to come). tension in its best form, despite nothing happening except the promise of something happening. beautiful film.
