  probably the most depressing possible portrayal of joan as a woman in the stupor of religious psychosis but helped that i watched scored by live quartet & they turned on smoke machines when she's burned at the stake

  ppl who think this is trying and failing tobe feminist 101 or freeky sex positive miss that for her its a journey of autonomy and personhood and its the world that is reacting and playing out gender and morality around her, including us the audience. the execution can still be lacking tho and if we're intended to uncritically like ramy's character i take it all back
