Oppenheimer 2023
After watching this I felt like I was a part of the crew who built the first atomic bomb and dropped it over Japan. A Nolan masterpiece. The camera work was very reminiscent of La Nouvelle Vague. I truly felt transported to another world while watching this piece. Magnifique. Moi. Moi. 5 bags of popcorn.

Killers of the Flower Moon 2023
La belle cinema. Attended a late night viewing of this in Quartier Latin. Left the theatre in disarray. While this film engaged the audience with the intense scheming and horrendous acts of voice, it also shed light on the dark and horror of colonialism resulting in immeasurable pain and trauma. I left the theatre in a dissociated state, and gave this a 4.5 bags of popcorn due to me smashing my head quite hard on the train due to the confusion I was in because of the movie.

Anyone But You 2023
Humide et chaud. I had multiple instances of heart palpitations while viewing this film. The story is your typical rom-com runaround, one in which you may find yourself lost in Sydney (the city and the actor). Oscar worthy? Not a chance. But really, a great La Nouvelle Vague esque film to fill your evening with a laugh, a cry, and a visit from your GP due to heart palpitations.

Saltburn 2023
This one felt almost handpicked from La Nouvelle Vague. Edgy, cum, blood, British. I felt as if I was sitting in the Saltburn living room. This film takes you out of the ordinary, the binary way of thinking, and invites you to explore what could be. My one qualm would be when Oliver cum slurped Felix’s bath water cum water, as I would have liked more camera angles during that scene. Solid 4 bags.
