Blissfully Yours 2002
Weerasethakul has always been languid and relaxed. I can't think of another director who can shift from scene to scene with no narrative justification and made it feel completely organic. He comes the closest to distilling the experience of "real life" into film untainted.

Finding Phong 2015
Probably the ideal way to approach documentary film-making when it comes to marginalized people. More or less just giving Phong the camera and letting her tell her own story. The film allowing her to record her own transition, and simply recording without judgement the mixed reaction of the family was the perfect way to let the relationships speak for themselves in all their complex blend of bigotry and love.
