this movie fulfilled everything i wanted out of the descent i fucking loved it!!! jaco was a genuinely terrifying in-story villain, and yet the final scene where shes *out* and hes calling for her is kind of. completely gutwrenching. i was infodumping to my mom for like an hour about this; good stuff

the first 3/4s of this film is the most irritating, acted-out aita reddit post, lending to a very heavy handed metaphor (the heavy handedness isnt an issue but its a little tedious). this then closes off in the last quarter with an insanely visceral and grotesque ending that made me really uncomfortable and physically grossed me out. i was gonna turn this off but im glad i didnt!!! (the ending gave this its last star and a half)
