this movie contains so much poignant dialogue about what it means to grow up with the people you love, to grow apart in the face of time, and to lose them to the realities of the world. whether it be the sisters’ dynamic or jo and laurie’s relationship, the gem of the story is in the connections between the characters.
the rowdy but ever-loving household of the sisters makes me imagine it’s what my mom and her two sisters would have been like growing up
