    Deadpool & Wolverine

At this point I’m pretty much checked out of the MCU, so despite liking the first two Deadpool movies i wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. But i ended up liking it just as much.

The humour was mostly pretty good, a handful of jokes didn’t land but that’s par for the course with Deadpool. But as with the other two you can tell everyone involved had a blast and that they genuinely really care about the character…

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Just devoid of any passion, flare or artistic expression.

It’s a movie made be corporate demand that exists for no reason and honestly feels like it was made by someone who hates the franchise.

It’s not even interesting in it’s ineptitude like say ‘Rise of Skywalker’ it’s just nothing.

The first Ghibli movie I’ve been able to see in the cinema, and i’m so glad i did.

It’s almost a given that Ghibli and especially Miyazaki film’s look gorgeous- but damn seeing it on the big screen really just makes it even more impressive to see just how beautiful it is. The animation is so fluid and full of life and character. It’s a cliche but every frame truly is a painting.

Some of the themes it covers are…

    Asteroid City

Like all Anderson’s films, Asteroid City oozes style in every aspect of it’s presentation. But not to give him all the credit, it also boasts an all-star cast all of whom give great performances.

It’s themes of loneliness and uncertainty are portrayed so uniquely and interestingly- even if at times this leaves you feeling somewhat confused.

Some aspects of the story feel unresolved by the end- which is intentional. However, it does leave you with a light amount of dissatisfaction.

A great (if a little bit confusing) film.
