Heat 1995
After a rewatch a higher score. You have to go with the ebb and flow of directing Mann has in this movie. It either works for you or it doesn't. The film is very accomplished in it's storytelling but I still think it's over stylized with the complementary score to boot. And a good few scenes should have been left on the cutting floor, a good half hour would have been easily found in this overlong film

Overlong build-up of what is ultimately a weak short story that didn't hold up with a weird third act as a bonus. Hard to believe but there wasn't enough material plotwise for even the meager 92 minutes of it's running time. The acting was okay but you never got a real insight into the characters.
