This film has really changed my life in the world of cinema. I still remember being awestruck of when I first watched this is 2021. For some reason Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel were blurs to me. I remember the characters being there but not them. I remember I adored John Travolta in it. I loved the dance scene and the apartment scene so much. I remember being in shock when the first scene was connected to the last. The…
Tim Roth covered in blood is what I'm here for
I LOVE THE EDITING. Sally Menke was a great editor. Also the first section gave me such 70s and Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibes. You can most definitely see the influence in this film especially. It was fun seeing the car chase. Kurt Russell is just so great in this. He's so great to watch, especially when he gets hurt- his performance seems very comedic and a bit over the top.
OH MY WORD TIM ROTH BEING IN THE 60S AND DOING THE TWIST
I never knew about this show/family that existed. Very interesting.
Watched the Final Cut version. Man do I love the editing.
I watched it on 4k.
I love the camera pans and subtle camera movements Scorsese adds. I really love De Niros facial expressions. They are subtle but you know exactly what he is thinking/feels.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Great acting. Stupid rich people being fucking assholes. Toni Collette did great. I REALLY wanted Maria and George to be together. George seemed like he would love her no matter what, even if she was a maid, but NOPE. HE FUCKING LEFT HER!! it broke my heart. Their love seemed genuine unlike the other couples in this.
Very interesting musical. I think the singing performances but the plot I did care for. Characters are liking one certain character then one second later they like someone else then they go back to the original crush.
