Throne of Blood 1957
Special effects that hold up 70 years later is a pretty amazing feat.
Mifune is fun to watch and you can tell the shots in these inspired Anime and were themselves inspired by Kabuki theater.
Ultimately I can't rate this higher than 3.5 because I think is a good, enjoyable movie but nowhere close to Kurosawa's other works. Films like Rashoman have more interesting characters and thematic depth, and it was made 7 years earlier.
