Rarely do I write about vitriol and anger that I feel towards a movie. If something sucks, I usually just leave a grade and move on.
But what the Russo Brothers have done to Simon Stålenhag's incredible work is terrible. This movie goes against everything that book was about.
From the cast that looked like they were bored, to the awful script, and some questionable CGI for a $320 million movie, this is a failure on every level.
One of the toughest movies I've watched in a long time. I had to pause it several times to take a breath and reset myself. This is truly one of a kind, and should be a must see for everyone. The horrors of the world are not something out of science fiction, but humanity's own hate towards others.
An instant classic. Setting the bar incredibly high for future action films, George Miller's 20-year-long project to get this movie completed has been worth the wait. Charlize Theron steals the show, but Tom Hardy's casting as Max Rockatansky seems like a no-brainer.
This film is about as must-see as one can be, on the big screen. The editing was incredible, and the stunts were powerful and felt visceral and real, because they (mostly) were. Only a sprinkling of CG was used to enhance certain scenes, as opposed to overusing the technology, which so often leaves movies feeling hollow and empty.
Such a great movie that so few have seen. Combines some amazing cinematography and sound design, along with a pretty excellent whodunit.
