This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The movie resembles a short, chill video game. Stunning scenery, soothing environment, fitting music, sometimes clunky visuals, and a simple, lukewarm story. Treating it as such - and preferably not watching it in one session - makes for a much better viewing experience.
Regarding the length: 3+ hours is too f*ing long for the most uninteresting, obtuse, and useless character to become the sole reason that Cameron gets a continuing movie franchise. Ah and by the way...where the f**k did the Na'vi army disappear mid-fight!?!?!?!?
This movie fits detective Blanc's description regarding the "Glass Onion": "...an object that seems densely layered but in reality the center is in plain sight". If you stare at it for more than 5 minutes, however, you'll soon realize that there is nothing there...just empty platitudes and abstract VFX wasting your time and patience.
Some of the acting deserves some credit though.
