  love the writing, and the moments they choose not to express through dialog. the bundle of sticks, and the ending. perfect. i like the way increasingly older people ask him about increasingly younger times in his life, until he's in a cemetery talking about his childhood. the bar scene with the other veteran is so touching and renders redundant all so-called "anti-war" action movies (those do inherently glorify violence despite their deluded claims that they don't).

  really organic and grounded dialogue led to all the characters feeling relatable and multifaceted. definitely captured the feeling of being a young professional and trying to prod your way into some semblance of the life you hope to have

  shower scene was literally more tense than Psycho
