  Buckle up. I feel like Harmony Korine is the real deal. For the longest time people shunned or mocked his body of work, now he’s seen as an artist. Even if you love his work (which I do) this is hard to sit through. Well worth the pain though.

  I remember putting this film on at a friends house in 1999. 20 mins in they made me turn it off and at that exact moment in knew I was cooler than them. If there’s a film that captures youth just prior to 9/11 internet culture this is it.

  Hear me out, I was not the ‘demo’ to see this when it came out in 2001. Add 24 years of life and a few grey hairs and I really enjoyed this. It’s funny, British dry humor funny. Hugh Grant at his annoyingly good hair best. Now to watch the sequels.

  Into the Wild 2007

  When I saw this in 2007 I wanted to live in the woods alone. But in 2025 I’m like bro plan a little. Take some pens and maybe don’t eat the berries. Aside from the Eddie Veder soundtrack it’s still great.
