  Masterpiece, a fully realized world that dominates the screen. I was mesmerized for the entirety of this films runtime.

  it was also painfully slow. I do not mind at all since it more than justifies it's runtime by being gorgeous to watch. the 70mm screening was so worth the wait.

  simply beautiful gothic horror.

  this worked for me on almost every level.

  perhaps a touch long for such a simple story but more of Blaschke's work to look at isn't a bad thing in my books.
