what an insanely depressing movie. brody deserved that oscar what the hell. he was like the embodiment of a cockroach. survival through everything that had happened to him. barely hanging in by the slimmest of strings. way much less about piano than i thought it was going to be LOL. maybe i should start looking up synopses before watching movies from now on.

the movie didnt feel satisfying even though it was a simple feel good movie. everything felt blatant, something about the pacing was weird, but there werent too many stakes on the whole thing and it was just an exploration of a friendship. so for that it was good, but nothing super special for me
