all this being said, wouldn't change a thing. millie bobbie can be such a brave girl.
second time watching this, if you can believe it, but i blacked out the entire first time
watched with a vulnerable brother on the other end of the line, the best sibling bonding and solace activity
and btw we watched the extended director's cut. that's not an option to list here on letterboxd for some reason... 1 hour 53 min of this baby
ok, i can't be objective. i loved it. adam driver is my hero, and it turns out, he's the country's hero too. he looks nothing like the real dan jones, which is a little frustrating, but whatever. i prefer adam driver over the real dan jones. I think this movie does a really good job of balancing the dramatization of the content. the few torture scenes are terrifying but somewhat necessary to a project that fictionalizes this story! I get…
