The amount of uneasiness watching Jake Gyllenhaal as Lou Bloom… what a creep…. I don’t think I can look at Jake Gyllenhaal the same. Amazing b-roll of LA adds to the film and really captures the city in the night. I legit have goosebumps and feel sick to the stomach by how psychotic Lou Bloom is. Literally one of the best action sequences I have ever seen in a movie. To witness two legendary actors face off is incredible to watch. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro’s characters mirror each other in the way they are so dedicated to their work and the tenacity they both have makes each encounter so intense. I have to admit, there were moments in the film, I was so engrossed by the acting that I forgot to breathe. If you have a weak heart, don’t watch!
