HATED. this was a very painful watch as I did not know it was a musical. The overall movie was ok and very easy to watch although I feel as if the movie could have had more potential if someone that could actually sing was casted and someone that could actually write music was hired. I would most certainly not recommend this film to anyone that likes musicals as it is a disgrace to the category of musicals. All though maybe if you are a child you would find some slight enjoyment from this.

Is it better to speak or to die? This film questions the idea if it is easier to pour you heart out at the risk of rejection or would dying be easier and less painful. The film conveys a story of a man and a boy as they fall in love in the Italian country side. I think this film is a fabulous depiction of the book and highlights the finding of identity and what one wants to say to the world.
