The Brutalist 2024
The first half was truly spectacular and the second half (minus epilogue) was quite disturbing in many ways and the tonal shift was uncomfortably necessary
The sound design/composition and the shots in across this film were fucking sick, especially that disorientating and overwhelming opening sequence.
The epilogue felt like a jarring shift for a very well paced film and I still don’t quite get Zsófia’s character or why she spoke in the dinner scene and the end? (Also was the ordinal actor playing her own daughter????)
This jar was however much lessened after I realised this man wasn’t real ??? Literally wtf mental I was CONVINCED

Nosferatu 2024
General vibes were 10/10 - creepy castle time was a personal fave (Nicholas and Bill really slayed) and final shot was haunting.
Simon McBurney will always be my Complicité king so unsurprised to see him put his whole puss into Knock and kill it.
Lily Rose Depp did some excellent creepy girly work and also obsessed with her sending her husband on a fake mission so she can get the job done - a queen
ATJ and EC’s characters felt underdone tho? Can’t tell if performance if script but something was a bit meh…
